Fifteen years ago I went to Ottawa to participate in the rewriting of the PSAB agreement (Procurement Strategy for Aboriginal Business) and it was one of the most important things I have ever done.
That experience made me realize the urgent need for support and empowerment of the Indigenous communities in Canada. For two decades I have dreamed of making an even bigger impact and today, I am excited to announce the launch of the Indigenous incubator to help the Indigenous people become skilled tradespeople, learn business acumen, and become business owners.
It has been a long and challenging journey and there is still much work to be done, and I am joined by my two sons, Joel & Jeremy, in being driven by our passion for making a real difference in lives of all Canadians.
The Indigenous incubator will be a place of learning, support, and empowerment for the Indigenous youth, and I am proud to see my dreams become reality.
I now work every day knowing that I am helping to create a better future for the Indigenous peoples of Canada. It is a privilege to be able to do this work, and I am grateful for the opportunity to make a difference in the future of Canada.
